Meet S. Benjamin Watson, M.D.

Dr. S. Benjamin Watson is a board eligible General Surgeon and a fellowship trained Hand Surgeon practicing in Atlanta. Dr. Watson is committed to offering the highest quality care of the hand, including diagnosis and treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions.
Dr. Watson attended the College of Staten Island, New York attaining undergraduate honors in biological studies. Dr. Watson earned his medical degree from The School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, New York. Dr. Watson completed his General Surgery residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he engaged in sepsis research under Chairman Dr. Stephen F. Lowry and has presented his research at national meetings including the Surgical Infection Society and American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress. Dr. Watson was peer nominated and awarded the Prem Award as Intern of the Year, for his outstanding work ethic and exemplary patient care.

Following residency training, Dr. Watson completed his hand surgery fellowship at the University of Connecticut where he was mentored by renowned hand and wrist surgeon Dr. H. Kirk Watson yielding a vast experience in care of the upper extremity. Dr. Watson’s research has been presented at the New England Hand Society and is published in the Journal of Hand Surgery.

In his time away from hand surgery, Dr. Watson enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sports and fitness.
