Meet Michael Mangonon, D.O.

Dr. Michael Mangonon is a board certified General Surgeon with certification in the sub-specialty of Surgery of the Hand. He is a fellowship-trained Hand and Micro-vascular Surgeon. Now practicing in Atlanta, Dr. Mangonon focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of both surgical and non-surgical conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow in both adult and pediatric patients. He is also experienced in minimally-invasive carpal tunnel surgery techniques.

Dr. Mangonon completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Mangonon returned to his home state of New York, where he completed his General Surgery Residency at Lutheran Medical Center, a Level-1 trauma hospital in the heart of Brooklyn. After finishing his residency, Dr. Mangonon went on to complete a Hand and Micro-vascular Surgery Fellowship at The State University of New York in Buffalo.

Prior to joining the Atlanta Hand Specialist team, Dr. Mangonon practiced in New York City, where he contributed to a thriving and successful independent practice in New York. Today, he provides compassionate and experienced care to the residents of Georgia.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Mangonon is an avid golfer, and enjoys spending time outdoors in the beautiful Georgia weather.
